1. The service
Proofy is provided by Innologica Ltd, Sofia, Bulgaria. It consists of a mobile app and the website at getproofy.com. By using them you agree to these terms.
2. What Proofy certifies — and what it does not
When a photo is registered, we certify that a file with the recorded fingerprint reached our server at the recorded time, and that the file later shown on a proof page is identical to it. The registration time is accurate to within five minutes of the moment of capture.
We do not certify where a photo was taken (location is reported by the device and marked as not verified), what it depicts, or that it did not exist earlier. A proof is evidence, not a legal determination; how much weight it carries is for the recipient, court or insurer to decide.
3. Your account and device
The app works without an account. Proofs belong to the device that registered them. If you lose the device, you lose the ability to manage its proofs unless a later version offers account recovery. Keep your device secure.
4. Your content
You keep all rights to your photos. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to store, process, watermark and display them to the extent needed to provide the service — including displaying them on public proof pages you choose to share. The licence ends for a photo when you unpublish it, except for backup copies that are overwritten within 30 days.
You are responsible for what you photograph and share. Do not use Proofy to register or share content that is unlawful, that infringes the rights of others, or that depicts people in violation of their privacy. We may remove content and block devices that breach these rules, and we cooperate with lawful requests from authorities.
5. Public proof pages
A proof page is visible to anyone who has its link. Links are unguessable but not secret once shared. Unpublishing removes the photo; the fingerprint, time-stamp and signed receipt remain so that the page can state truthfully that a registration existed.
6. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. We may change or discontinue features with reasonable notice. Registrations already made remain checkable for as long as the service exists.
7. Fees
The service is currently free of charge. Any future paid features will be announced in advance and will require your explicit agreement.
8. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are liable only for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, and for breach of essential obligations, in which case liability is limited to foreseeable damage typical for this kind of service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including under consumer-protection law in your country of residence.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Bulgaria. Mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence in the EU remain unaffected. The EU online dispute resolution platform is available at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
